Let’s go ahead and plant this one firmly in the ‘Odd’ category: RealDoll, a company that makes ultra-realistic sex dolls, is working on a robot head with smarts.

It’s not due for release until sometime before the end of next year, and the company’s CEO says it’s not doing a full sex robot because the mechanics of that movement, along with keeping things lifelike, is too hard right now. That’s not all though.

If the thought of a robot head sex doll is exciting to you, add in the artificial intelligence the company’s building too and you’ll probably explode.

In order to reach more people, the AI that’s going into the sexbot’s also being released as an app so you can use it in VR viewers. It’s due to arrive in the next six months.
