Don’t upgrade to iOS 10 if you’re in a hurry, it’s not going well

If you’re sitting bored on a train somewhere, killing 15 minutes while you wait for your (always) late friend or idling away doing anything else, do not spend those minutes updating to iOS 10 unless you didn’t need to use your phone for the rest of the day.

A quick search of Twitter shows that an awful lot of people are getting a failed update notification when trying to do it OTA, and are instead being told to connect to iTunes to complete the installation, which includes first rolling back to an earlier build.

If you’re suffering this already, it’s not a deal-breaker for your precious phone, but you will need to connect to your computer and iTunes before you can use your phone again. Of course, this isn’t everyone updating, but do you want to take that chance right this minute?
