Google’s ramping up for the launch of a new app that will allow users to watch videos while offline.

YouTube Go will let you save videos to your device for when you there’s no data connection, and each video offers up a choice of file sizes (directly related to picture quality), so you can decide what deserves the room, and what doesn’t.

It’ll also allow you to share videos to friends and other users nearby without needing a data connection at all.

There aren’t too many other features to speak of right now, but if you want to stay up to date with the launch, you can enter your email address or phone number to receive updates.

There’s also no word on whether the app will be part of a chargeable service or not – previously, users who want to take YouTube Music videos offline required a subscription.
