Samsung is looking into claims that one user’s Samsung Galaxy Note 7 – the company’s newest flagship device, that’s not yet on sale in many countries – exploded during charging.
According to a user on the popular Chinese forum Baidu, the device was left charging and then exploded, resulting in the mess you see above.
A spokesperson for the company told 10SECOND.TECH:
[clickToTweet tweet=”Samsung: ‘We have been in contact with the customer and are conducting a full investigation.'” quote=”“Samsung takes product quality and customer safety very seriously. We have been in contact with the customer and are conducting a full investigation into the product in question. We would like to assure our customers that we always employ strict quality control and safety measures to ensure that our devices meet and exceed industry safety standards.”]
I guess ‘not exploding’ is one benefit humans have over the Note 7, after all.
